Advanced recognition for experienced social entrepreneurs with sustained delivery evidence.

PSE-LSSE recognises social entrepreneurs and mission-led practitioners who can demonstrate sustained delivery, beneficiary engagement, partnerships, income, grants, contracts, governance discipline or institutional engagement.

What PSE-LSSE Means

Professional Social Entrepreneur — PSE-LSSE is an advanced assessed membership grade within the LSSE Society of Social Entrepreneurs.

It is designed for experienced practitioners who have moved beyond early-stage activity and can evidence sustained contribution in social enterprise, nonprofit innovation, community development, mission-led enterprise or public-value work.

PSE-LSSE recognises maturity of practice, not just intention. Applicants should be able to show that they have led, managed, funded, delivered or significantly contributed to structured social-impact work over time.

Case Study

Professional Interview

A structured interview with LSSE reviewers or panel members to assess judgement, evidence, leadership, accountability and professional maturity.

LSSE may request additional evidence or references where required.

Recognition Outcome

Successful applicants may be admitted as Professional Social Entrepreneur members of the LSSE Society and may use the post-nominal:

PSE-LSSE

Use of the post-nominal is subject to LSSE Society rules, annual membership status, professional conduct and recognition guidance.

Important Distinction

PSE-LSSE is not awarded automatically through:

  • Open Membership;
  • payment of membership or assessment fees;
  • completion of an LSSE course;
  • attendance at an executive programme;
  • prior ASE-LSSE or CSE-LSSE status alone.

Previous LSSE recognition may support progression, but PSE-LSSE requires stronger evidence of sustained practice and professional contribution.
