Why This Programme
The ESG Project Lab responds to a practical institutional need: many social impact projects fail to progress because their design, documentation, evidence base or risk controls are not sufficiently developed. The Lab provides structured support to improve project readiness and quality.

Charities and NGOs developing projects
CICs and social enterprises requiring stronger documentation
Foundations and corporates supporting community organisations
Organisations preparing donor, CSR or partnership conversations

Diagnose project gaps and readiness risks
Develop stronger theories of change
Improve budgets, assumptions and documentation
Build risk registers and accountability structures

Learning Experience
The Lab operates as applied support rather than a standard course. It may involve project clinics, document review, templates, advisory sessions and cohort-based support for multiple organisations.
Assessment, Outputs and Completion Standard
Outputs depend on agreed scope. LSSE may provide review notes, templates, project packs, readiness diagnostics and recommended next steps. The Lab should not be presented as a guarantee of project success or funding.
Pricing and Access
Pricing should be bespoke based on project complexity, number of documents, review depth, organisation size and cohort model. Management may approve published bands or invite enquiries only.
Why Study This at LSSE
LSSE teaches this subject within a wider framework of social enterprise, sustainable economics, leadership, governance and institutional development. The programme is designed to be practical without becoming superficial, and academically serious without becoming inaccessible. Participants are expected to leave with stronger judgement, clearer documentation and a more credible operating approach.
Progression Routes
The Project Lab links to ESG Project Design & Donor Readiness Lab, Corporate ESG Workshops, ESG Leadership Fellowship and Society member clinics.
Transparency and Governance Note
The ESG Project Lab supports project quality, documentation and readiness. It does not guarantee funding, donor approval, investment, partnership or endorsement.
