Professional recognition for social entrepreneurs with evidence of practice, leadership and contribution.
Assessed Professional Membership is for individuals seeking LSSE-recognised professional status and post-nominals through portfolio evidence, review and approval.
Assessed Professional Membership is the recognition route within the LSSE Society of Social Entrepreneurs.
It is designed for individuals who can demonstrate evidence of social enterprise practice, nonprofit leadership, community impact, mission-led enterprise, project delivery or ecosystem contribution.
Unlike Open Membership, this route is assessed. Applicants must submit evidence and meet the standard required for the grade they are applying for.
Approved members may use LSSE post-nominals in line with Society rules.
This route is suitable for:
Â
| Grade | Post-Nominal | Best For | Assessment |

| Professional Social Entrepreneur | PSE-LSSE | Experienced practitioners | Portfolio + case study + interview |
| Fellow of Social Entrepreneurship | FSE-LSSE | Senior leaders and ecosystem builders | Evidence dossier + references + panel review |

Applicants should be ready to evidence one or more of the following, depending on grade:
Choose the recognition grade that matches your level of practice.
Submit your application and evidence summary.
Upload required documents, such as portfolio, CV, case study, references or supporting evidence.
LSSE reviews your application against the relevant grade criteria.
Where required, applicants may be invited to presentation, interview or panel review.
Successful applicants receive confirmation of professional membership and post-nominal use guidance.
LSSE professional recognition is institutional recognition issued by the London School of Social Enterprise and Sustainable Economics through the LSSE Society of Social Entrepreneurs.
It is not statutory licensing, chartered status, government-regulated professional authorisation or permission to practise.
Post-nominals may only be used by approved assessed professional members in good standing and in accordance with LSSE rules.
Open Membership gives access to the Society community, resources and selected CPD activities.
Assessed Professional Membership gives recognised professional status only where the applicant meets the relevant evidence standard.
Members may begin through Open Membership and later apply for Assessed Professional Membership when they are ready.
Apply for Assessed Professional Membership if you are ready to evidence your social enterprise practice, leadership or contribution.
