Description

Social Enterprise in Education is a Continuing Career Development (CCD) course for teachers, tutors, and education practitioners working in primary, secondary, and college levels, in private and public sectors. The course imparts active learning practices that are highly engaging to help participants understand what social enterprise is, and how it provides experiential learning opportunities for young people of all ability levels.This programme explores issues related to social enterprise, entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation strategies ranging from public policy to for-profit and non-profit management, from environmental stewardship to business ethics. Upon successful participation in this programme, the programme will enable student to deliver accordingly to their pupils.The Social Enterprise in Education programme encourages participants to share their experiences, discuss challenges or issues that relate to their own circumstances, and reflect on activities already present in schools which may be linked to social enterprise. The programme helps participants develop networks, provide peer support, and share ideas of good practice.This programme will equip education practitioners with theory regarding entrepreneurship as a model of social change, and leadership and management skills required for social enterprise organisations. It is vital that they acquire this knowledge to ensure it is effectively transferred to their wards

Certification

This course is accredited and, to be awarded credit, you must satisfactorily complete written components. Successful students will receive credit, awarded by the Board of Studies of London School of Social Enterprise and Sustainable Economics and International Affiliates. The award will be presented in the form of Advanced Certificate. Exceptional students will be recognised.

Please submit your application at least two weeks prior to the programme start date. Since qualified candidates are admitted on a rolling, space-available basis, early application is encouraged. Admission is selective and based on professional achievement and organisational responsibility. Although there are no formal educational requirements, proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. LSSE expects the full commitment of the participant and their organisation because our programmes enhance the leadership capacity of the participant as well as their organisation. While participants are attending a programme, sponsoring organisations agree to relieve them of their work responsibilities so that they can fully focus on the learning experience.
